Yesterday’s Tomorrow

This header photo, circa 1995 of the St. Louis PRAIRIE FIRE band I sang in with my brother, brings back memories of the cover songs we sang together. Songs by bands and artists including Restless Heart, Lonestar, Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson and Reba McEntire. Never would I have imagined, back when this photo was taken, that in just a few years I’d be heading to Nashville where I'd eventually meet in person many of these artists whose songs and talents were such an inspiration to me, and that more than one of these artists would record my songs!

As of this writing, I haven’t 'officially' had a face-to-face encounter with Miss Reba. But hearing her one-of-a-kind voice singing “God and My Girlfriends”, and hearing her call my name to stand up as one of its writers before she sang it on stage, is a pretty close second! ☺  A few of my Scrapbook souvenirs of hero-meet moments (whose songs we sang in our PRAIRIE FIRE band) are shared here!
