Sweet N Low and Lifetime Friend

Let me introduce you to two very special girlfriends in my life. The one in the middle is a precious widow named Phyllis I met a few years ago. I call her "Sweet N Low." She has become one of my biggest fans in life. Though she loves my music, she just plain loves me. She prays for me on a regular basis, and when I hit a crisis, she's one of the first prayer warriors I reach out to. She so believes in me that she sends me a monthly gift to pour into my ministry. Wow. There is true might in a widow's mite, let me tell you.

The other special lady is my friend Jill Miller. I met Jill a few years ago through a mutual friend. We both share a passion for music, songwriting, and sharing our story. Jill is one of those lifetime friends. I can call her when I'm bottoming out and she just encourages and loves me through it all. We wrote and recorded a 12-step recovery album together, and it was her energizer-bunny spirit that really pushed that project through to the finish line.

This particular photo was taken at a women's retreat Jill and I did together. It was a beautiful weekend out in California of pouring out, and getting to see some of my favorite girlfriends. I am so blessed and the richer for knowing these two amazing, Jesus-loving, ladies.
