Common Ground

God placed a vision of a women’s conference in my heart a couple of years ago. Then in April of 2018, I knew it was time to plan. I sat down in prayer, during which I jotted down all of the women who came into my mind. That led to a meeting in May. Many of the women did not know each other, but we quickly realized God placed a shared vision in our spirits to have a conference which would address difficult topics facing women in the church today.

Since that day, we’ve planned our Common Ground Conference, slated for May 3-4 2019, secured all local speakers and an all-female worship team. One of the most exciting updates is that we’ve also started a non-profit as a foundation for this and future events, called Living Water Women’s Ministry Inc. 

Our Common Ground Conference is for women of all ages, from across Jacksonville. In a world that seeks to divide us based on location, race, and denomination, we will gather on Common Ground and focus on our shared faith in Jesus Christ. Topics we will address in our first conference include diversity in the church, body image, mental health, and marriage and divorce.
