Where the White Line Goes

I’m so excited to have a song on this album!  Larry Stewart (lead singer of Restless Heart band) is one of my all-time favorite singers.  The song we wrote together (track #6 "Where the White Line Goes") has a lyric line that says “It’s time to be shifting gears.”

This moment is “extra serendipitous” considering I once sang Restless Heart songs in a band with my brother way back when… before I moved to Nashville over 20 years ago.  (You can read more about that in my Songwriter’s Scrapbook entry titled Yesterday’s Tomorrow).

Though I celebrate this occasion with joy, it's also a bittersweet milestone in my music journey.   There was another writer on this song who is no longer with us today: Arthur “AJ” Masters. I wrote many other songs with AJ before he left this earth, and I plan to share some of them in this Songwriter's Scrapbook, in memory of this special soul and great musician and writer.  I know he’s in heaven playing his guitar as only he can do.  This one’s for you, AJ…raising my glass and turning up the volume!
